Quality of DVD Format on Smartphone

Standard

dvdLet us face it; everything is going the mobile way from shopping to business functions to entertainment. People are moving away from the culture of sitting at home in front of their computers performing various tasks; instead they would rather do everything on the move straight from the pocket. The reason why this is possible is because of the presence of smartphone with very impressive capabilities; some more powerful than some old computers still in use today.

That being said, more and more people are watching videos on their mobile phones; apparently, they are finding it boring and inflexible to sit in front of a stationary television. There are loads of videos and movies on the Internet today and since most people use mobile phones to access the Internet it is only logical for them to watch these videos from the same.

DVD on smartphone

Apart from watching videos online, it is also possible to watch DVD on smartphone. So maybe you are wondering how this is possible seeing that smartphones do not come with a DVD slot. Well it is possible because technology says it is; basically what you need is a piece of software that will do all the conversion after which you can import the converted file into your smartphone.
Here is the thing, the DVD format is not supported by a majority of smartphones in the market today and therefore this is why you need to do all this. So, the first thing you will need to do is insert your DVD into the computer’s DVD ROM (yes you still do need a computer). Before going any further, you need to understand that there are numerous software out there that are used to achieve this particular goal but the logic behind their working is pretty much the same.

Converting the video

Once your computer recognizes the disc you can now run whichever conversion software you are using. The first thing you will need to do is select the file you want to convert and where you want it end up after being converted that is in this case a folder in your phone. Most software will support a wide range of smartphones and this you will be able to see as you define the destination for the converted file. Usually it will be something like this: DVD to x; here x represents the smartphone model.
Once everything has been defined you can now initiate the conversion process which you simply do by clicking on the software’s action button; it could be ‘Start’ ‘Convert’ or something similar. It would be best not to interfere with the preset settings since the software is designed to automatically determine the best settings for different situations and smartphones.
Once the conversion process is over, the software will alert you and you can confirm if the job has been done by going to the output folder in your phone. Simply start the video and you will be pleasantly surprised to discover that the quality of the video on your phone is the same as the one on DVD.
