Apple TV – More Rumors to Go Around With!

Standard

Apple TV did not make any appearance at the CES 2012. But experts are already on their way to make some more comments about what the Apple TV features could be, and how the Apple TV would impact the competition. Here’s more on Apple TV specs…

Apple TV 2nd Generation

You’ve got to give it to Apple for secrecy. We’ve been rumoring this and that but there’s not one leak as yet regarding ‘what the Apple TV is all about. They just “cracked the code” and left us all guessing what it could be. And unlike the iPhones, which had several leaks much before the release, there’s nothing riding on the Apple TV as yet.

But experts are already on it. The Las Vegas CES 2012 and Apple have no relation but there were rumors that it could show up there. But that’s all old news. No Apple TV came up, no Apple TV debuted in the CES 2012. The debate ended as soon as it started. The last day of the CES 2012 (Jan 13) was much awaited – for it could have been the grand entry of Apple iTV. That of course, never happened.

Apple iTV has been the topic of discussion in many places now. Right from websites, blogs, technology magazines and TV shows, Apple TV has been featuring – or rather, the reports, rumors and news about Apple TV has been featuring. The whole thing began sometime back when, during the course of writing the biography of Steve Jobs, he was heard saying Apple had “finally cracked it” – regarding the television design.

Down with the rumor syndrome, we have quite a lot of Apple TV specifications already on board. Whether they are really a part of the true Apple TV specs or not doesn’t matter till the actual product comes out!! It’s the excitement riding right now:

To begin with, the Apple TV features are almost sure to have Siri-based voice control. In fact, now that Samsung and LG are already on their voice-based controllers, Apple’s TV having this feature is very certain. There are other points on the specs that make it look better.

FaceTime looks like a possible candidate on the Apple TV. As some expert suggested, it looks like Apple will include FaceTime on almost all of its upcoming products. If that be the case, the Apple TV would be high-performance and beat the competition. Other features that are currently being spoken of are the higher-than-1080p resolution (Sharp is already on the 4K LED) and the OLED screens.

Let’s wait for a while as Apple gears up for the launch of one of the most-hyped products this year.
