Salvatore Defranco got involved in a hit-and-run accident in 2008 as we were preparing to go with him to Iraq with the SEAL Team 3. This accident left him in a coma for several weeks. He was in a condition that we never thought he would recover. As the strong warrior he was, Defranco responded well to medication, and he managed to survive the ordeal.
After his recovery, Defranco together with his wife Diana founded Battle Grounds Coffee in 2016. The idea of the business is to serve locals with high-quality coffee and showing the country the important service to humanity. The company does this by giving back to the veteran community. Their hiring policy mainly gives priority to the vets. This would also mean increasing its workforce from the current 20 employees it.
