In an apparently interesting twist to the patent wars, customers who thought Google Nexus would receive a Jelly Bean update quite late are now going to be surprised. The Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for Google Nexus could be happening even as we speak, as Google is planning to launch the Google Nexus back on Google Play next week.
An earlier injunction against the Nexus has stopped Google Nexus sales within U.S. Google and Samsung had earlier been reported to be aiming towards a software patch that would help them circumvent the injunction but those plans now seem to have been dropped.
Instead, Google is choosing to go ahead with the planned upgrade to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for the Google Nexus smartphone.
This means those who were willing to wait for the Nexus with Jelly Beans are going to be treated for a surprise. Google Nexus will return with Android 4. Jelly Bean next week.
